How the Wedding Reception at the 1907 all began
Emily was my hot yoga teacher, which is where I first met her. She followed me on instagram, so we became instagram buddies. Through that, I followed her love journey and when she announced she was getting married and having her Wedding Reception at the 1907, I knew I wanted to be involved!
I was hopeful it was a local wedding on a date I had available, and it was! We couldn’t wait for a wedding reception at the 1907 Building in Rogers at the Onyx Coffee Lab headquarters. Living near the rustic charming wedding venue + coffee shop, so that made it even better! I love to shoot in all our newly-opened wedding venues for weddings and receptions! Because I want this blog to be a resource for brides, I try to share new spaces!
We arrived early at the Wedding Reception at the 1907 so we could shoot the bride and groom portraits all around Onyx. WE photographed up in the Foreman bar, around the coffee shop, and in their event space. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day…
What I love about this Wedding Reception at the 1907
This space offers so much and would make any Wedding Reception at the 1907 a dream! The vibe, of course, is perfection. Long wooden tables are perfect for rehearsal dinners or reception seating. The fireplace is a lovely focal point, which could be a background of a wedding ceremony. There is catering on-site with Yeyo’s and Dough’p, and a bar upstairs. The 1907 also hosts a speakeasy restaurant, Heirloom, which would be a fun experience for a smaller wedding party. This venue has so many options for brides!
This was a really special wedding reception for me to photograph. I love intimate weddings. Most of mine are big weddings with hundreds of guests, so the change of pace was a nice challenge for me.
The staff at the 1907 building were really easy to work with. They value art and are really respectful of photographers. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite venues to photograph!
Talk to you soon,
