A 3d flower bridal tattoo? How it all started…
What started as a simple texted message from my florist friend, Julie, has grown into one of my all-time favorite wedding styled shoots. She had mentioned that she wanted to try a new idea: to have a bride literally wear flowers on her skin. I’d never heard of this, but I trust Julie when it comes to floral design. Y’all… she blew me away with her 3d flower bridal tattoo! We took that single idea and created an entire modern wedding at Osage House!
Dream Team… activate!
Modern wedding at Osage House…
I’m all about getting the best people on the team, so I reach out to some of Northwest Arkansas’ Best Wedding Vendors.
I have been wanting to shoot at Osage House so badly! Two years ago Ashley (the owner) approached me about some new land she and her architect-husband had just closed on. They had the hopes of opening a dream wedding venue. She asked me what my dream wedding venue looked like, and then took what I told her and made it a million times better! The all-white wedding chapel is drop dead gorgeous. It comes complete with a wall full of windows, so the white wedding chapel reflects light beautifully.
Finding Our Model Couple
So, I had Osage and Jules… time to find my model! I wanted a model who had an equally model-esque husband. Also, I wanted a REAL couple so I could pose and interact with them the same way I would on a wedding day. My friend Kiley (who is the hit of every house party our friend group has) immediately came to mind! She and her hubby Zack were super excited to be asked! Then I reached out to Lindsey, past Benny Bride and owner of Tesori Bridal in Fayetteville for a dreamy designer wedding gown. She told me she started carrying a new designer, Beccar Couture, and had the perfect wedding dress for Kiley’s body type!
The Beauty Team
To pull off the hair and makeup, I reached out to Lauren Treat for hair and our dear friend (and Tyler‘s wedding makeup artist) Adriann Duncan. Our team was nearly complete! I wanted to include Jennifer at Shelby Lynn’s Cake Shoppe in Springdale for our cake. She is the most talented human I know and hand painted a wedding cake recently that had me super inspired. She was, as always, happy to help us out and created a masterpiece that fit our vision.
The Finishing Touches
Our final vendors helped us pull everything together flawlessly for this modern wedding at Osage House. Elizabeth from Kate & Co brought together the vision and executed big time! She and her team are impeccable when it comes to taste and execution of wedding and events. I was so happy they joined our endeavor. Lastly, I asked my buddy Houston Evans, a local videographer, to come shoot some video of the event. I’ll be able to share that with y’all a bit later.
“Isn’t this supposed to be a photo blog?” Hahaha… ok!!
I just can’t help it… I wanted to give credit where deserved, and there were so many who worked so hard to make this dreamy modern wedding vision a reality! Now… off we go into picture land!
Talk to you soon,
