In these Rosewood Mansion Bridal Portraits, I’m going to show you behind the hood as I share before and after photos of our Benny Bride, Caroline Fox Hyde. One thing you should know about me is that I detest the color yellow. I take that back, yellow flowers I like. Everything else that’s yellow, well, I can live without. I’m not sure where it first came from, but I do know that I realized it when having to edit yellow out of images because of tungsten lighting.

I loved photographing Rosewood Mansion Bridal Portraits of Caroline… the venue was absolutely stunning and the staff was very accommodating. Caroline chose the venue with an option to “find another place if I wasn’t feeling it.” But as I pulled into the circle drive at Rosewood Mansion at Turtle Creek in Dallas, I knew these bridal portraits were going to be next level gorgeous.

For more from this bridal portrait session, check out these Monique Lhuillier Bridal Portraits. Today, however, I’m going to share my edits with you. The images on the left are straight out of the camera. The images on the right are the edited versions of the same image. You’ll notice, I’m not editing Caroline (she is freaking flawless) or her Monique Lhuillier gown. Instead, I’m editing the scene around the bride so she pops. Notice in each of the after photos that the focus is clearly on the bride. In these edits, I might be desaturating color, adding blur to elements in the background, or even taking out distracting elements like black doors and handrails. Haha!

Monique Lhuillier Bridal Portraits of a young bride in a soft pink wedding dress that is strapless with a long train. This designer luxury bridal gown was photographed in Dallas Texas.

All the extra effort was worth it, however, because these Rosewood Mansion Bridal Portraits are in my top three all-time favorites!

Talk to you soon,
Dale
