Welcome to my Top 23 Songs for 2023 – this post is an expansion of my TikTok post, which you can find here. I’m still figuring out how to balance the TikTok and daily blog, but today is easy because I want to share more details on some of the songs than I can on TikTok. So here we go with my Top 23 Songs for 2023:

The very first song on my list of Top 23 Songs for 2023 is “I wanna get better” by Bleachers. You probably already know I‘m a huge Bleachers fan, and Jack Antenoff fan. I’m excited the world is getting more exposed to him through Taylor Swift (he co-wrote and produced her Midnights album with Swift). This song is such a great anthem for a new year and it had to top my list.

The Standouts

Probably my all-time favorite song is No Hard Feelings by the Avett Brothers. It’s a very emotional song for me, and I fell in love with it during an emotional time in my life. Because of that, it’s not a song I listen to all the time because it takes a lot out of me. However, I couldn’t NOT have it on my list. The works are truly what I hope to experience by the end of my life.
Another standout in this list is For Good. Not only is Kristin Chenoweth going to be a Benny Bride (YES, I KNOW!!), but this emotional song about the power of people who come and go in your life is so relevant during the new year. Some people have to let others go in order to be their best selves. I had to do that very thing a couple NYE’s ago, and I’m thankful I did.
A final standout in my list of Top 23 Songs for 2023 is Man in the Mirror, by Michael Jackson. Most of the songs on this list discuss change, growth, possibility, and healing. But that has to start somewhere, and this song illustrates exactly how to make that happen.
