Bridal Portraits

Bridal portraits are a MUST in the south! If you’re thinking about getting a bridal portrait session, remember that your mom and/or grandma are probably expecting it! It’s tradition!

We typically shoot these sessions 5-6 weeks before the wedding date, and are a great chance for you to have a run through with your makeup artist, your hair stylist, etc. Plus, it let’s you plan how long to schedule those same appointments for your wedding day! Don't have a hairstylist we have a list of our absolute favorites! Contact Dale a the bottom of this page  and he'll share (he likes to share!).

Destination Bridal Portraits

Just like with weddings and engagements, we're available to travel for your bridal portraits. Whether it be semi-local like Tulsa (to the left are bridal portraits at the Philbrook Museum in Tulsa), or farther away (above are bridal portraits in Houston), or even a dream location. Lindsey met us for a fun day of shooting when we did her bridal portraits in NYC. If you're interested in where we're traveling in the next year, shoot Dale a quick email and ask! We love photographing new places and in new cities, and we love making the most of the trips we currently have scheduled.

Our bridal session is the only session where we do one outfit (duh!) and one location. We don’t like for you to travel much with your dress on (getting in and out of the car isn’t the easiest, and wrinkling the dress is never fun.  We do a little more planning (with lighting and location) for the bridal portrait session, and take our time making sure every little detail is perfect).

If you’re having a fresh bridal bouquet for your wedding, you’ll also want one for your bridal portraits. It can be a smaller version of the real thing, but you’ll definitely want something to hold with your hands.

The bridal portrait canvas: Pretty much every bride who gets a bridal portrait session gets a canvas to display at the reception.

Another tradition, giving this portrait to your parents as a gift of all their hard work (and check writing) during the wedding process is a great way to say thanks!

The sizes for these start from 16x24 and go as big as a 40-60.
