I learned photography from my dad, and have spent my life telling stories of love that exist between mothers and daughters, between sisters, fathers and daughters, etc. I love the bond between family members and am thankful to tell those stories.
Great, compelling photography involves intuition, skill, and experience. You've probably heard the phrase, "oh, I was just in the right place at the right time." But so much goes into capturing beautiful moments: 1) knowing your camera so well that it's just an extension of your hands and eyes, 2) reading people and relationships to understand who is probably going to cry and when, and 3) capturing moments beautifully and unobtrusively in such a way that feels and looks authentic.
“I admired Dale's ability to tell love stories long before he was a part of mine.”
Tyler met Dale when he was photographing her sister's wedding. She was the cute maid of honor, and he was the photographer trying not to make every picture about her. A friendship started and (playing the long game), we started dating 8 years later.
Tyler is Benfield Photography's other main photographer. She works alongside Dale as a luxury wedding photographer and travels the world photographing the most incredible art on the wedding day through storytelling photography.

You've been dreaming of (and probably planning) this wedding day since you were little. Now you have found the perfect partner and all your dreams are coming true. This love story, and this wedding day, deserve to have its story told by the best wedding photographer possible. You shouldn't have to sacrifice quality for this grand life event.
You want to look back on these images long after the food is eaten, the flowers are gone, and the dress is preserved to relive all the magical details and moments that made your wedding event one of a kind.
Weddings are one of those things. There aren't do-overs when it comes to wedding photography, so choosing the perfect photographer means conducting diligent research, sacrificing a little, and trusting what your gut tells you. Let's make the most of your wedding day!
What I'm
loving
Ted Lasso. The feel-good show on Apple+ is my binge-worthy guilty pleasure. I love the storytelling, and the compelling relationships between the characters are what I'm all about.
What I'm
learning
How to be the husband my wife needs, the dad my 3 daughters (+ 1 baby on the way!) deserve, and the friend my friends have always wanted.
What I'm
not about
Flakey people, who don't follow through on what they say they are going to do. I learned that sometimes a friend list need a little pruning if a relationship isn't serving you.
what I
believe
Real talk: While the best things in life are free, when it comes to photography... you get what you pay for.
