Grab a tissue… it’s Wedding Horror Story time.
Once upon a time there was a bride who hired a photographer that was NOT Benfield Photography. That well-known photographer lost all their wedding photos. To this day, I don’t know the full Wedding Horror Story. I only know that Kristen and Jason had to fly all their family back out to the Capital Hotel in Little Rock where I had the unique pleasure of photographing them in their wedding attire.
We actually created a really incredible moment for the couple and their families, as they used the opportunity to announce they were PREGNANT! And then I also got to see them a few years later for some gorgeous family portraits…
But listen to thisβ¦ I was listening to the bride having a conversation and was asked βI forgetβ¦ who caught your bouquet?β And the bride couldn’t remember and DIDN’T HAVE THE PICTURES TO REFER TO.Β
Can you even imagine?
Okay, Wedding Horror Story time #2. This time, I’ll let the bride tell it from her DM on Instagram:
First off, 8 weeks?! That’s a long time to be waiting, omg. Second, this photographer has 10.9K followers on Instagram. So, you can’t use instagram followers to gauge how good a photographer is. Instead, ask yourselfβ¦ has this photographer been in business for a long time? What are their business practices? If you don’t know, ask! We are celebrating our 16th year as a full-time Northwest Arkansas wedding photographer, and have zero horror stories like this!
I just hate hearing stories like these, because it makes the rest of us who dedicate our time and energy into sound business and workflow practices look bad.
You never think it will happen to you until it happens to you. π But the good news is you can just have us shoot your wedding π
Thanks for being here,
Dale
