MaKayle and Kyrei Fisher’s Ballroom at I Street Wedding was a wonderful kickoff to the 2021 wedding season! I’ve been a bit antsy to start shooting weddings again after a weird 2020, so this couldn’t have come soon enough.
Capturing emotion is my calling.
What I loved most about MaKayle and Kyrei’s wedding was that the day was filled with emotion. From the Dad’s first look to Kyrei’s reaction to his bride walking down the aisle, there were plenty of happy tears shed on this beautiful wedding day.
This also marked my first official wedding working with Brittany at Bloom Design. While we collaborated on a Ballroom at I Street Wedding styled shoot, this was our first real wedding together, and it was flawless. Not only was the couple flawless, with incredible and supportive families, but the timeline was flawless and executed perfectly. Bravo to all the vendors involved! This first look with the bridesmaids, moms, and flower girl is so precious. I love the look of excitement on their faces. And below I just love natural candid moments between the bride and her family.
One of the most special moments of the day was when the bride’s grandmother got to see the special tribute to her late husband. This is what I love about photography.
My favorite time of day is photographing portraits of the couple
I know I’ve mentioned this on the blog before, but that 2 on 1 time with the bride and groom is my favorite. Most often, it’s the first time on the wedding day that the bride and groom get to spend time without the hustle and bustle of the wedding day. Because of that, it’s easy for me to create situations that are romantic and meaningful for the couple. That allows me to photograph them beautifully and authentically. Here is what I mean:
Oh how I missed wedding receptions: party time!
I love a good party. Good dancing is a bonus. Donuts are even more of a bonus. MaKayle and Kyrei Fisher’s wedding reception at I Street Ballroom had all of the above. So many people were on the dance floor all night. I think they missed social interaction as much as I did!
