A few years ago on Valentine’s Day, I found myself single and wondered what life would be like in the coming years. I remember feeling a little hopeless.
I’m thankful for my therapist, my loyal friends, and my momma who encouraged me and helped me grow in such a crazy time in my life. Honestly, I couldn’t picture a future where I was happy. Never, in my wildest dreams, could I have imagined what was in store for me.
Fast forward to today, I have a wife who respects our marriage. She loves me and believes in me. She is the gorilla glue that bonds our family together. Speaking of family, I have three amazing daughters… each unique in her own way. I’m surrounded by love and feel so blessed. Scout makes me laugh on a daily basis. Also, Cece amazes me with her unique abilities. Finally, Ellie inspires me with her huge heart for others. Obviously, I have so much to be thankful for.
I write all this to say:
1) I want you to celebrate your person today if you’re married or in a relationship.
2) I want you to celebrate yourself today if you’re not married or in a relationship. Maybe your future results in a relationship if that is what you are striving for; or, maybe you love being single and are thriving. Either way, love yourself today!
Finally, I want to say that I’m very thankful for you. Maybe you’ve been coming to my blog for years, or maybe this is your first time here. Either way, I’m happy you’re here and hope you come back and spend some time with me!
Talk to you soon,
Dale
