Ken and Barbie’s Wedding Day was everything she hoped it would be. She spent special time with her bridesmaids getting pedicures, wore an incredible dress, and at the end of the day she rode off into the sunset with her handsome husband. Sounds pretty perfect, doesn’t it? Well, it was. I was there. With my camera.
I was the honored photographer chosen to photograph Ken and Barbie’s Wedding Day. And now, I get to share the exclusive, one-of-a-kind photos with you! So, grab some popcorn, turn down the lights, and let’s do this thing.
It started with a girls’ spa day in the morning. Barbie loves getting pampered and also treating her girls to a fun pedicure. I mean, you have to get your feet in shape for a day in heels and then a night of dancing, am I right? Barbie had just the perfect wedding morning lingerie to wear to the spa.
Then it was time to get ready. Barbie enlisted her maid of honor to help her with the gown. Though it was velcro, it fit lit a charm. Speaking of charms, her earrings dangled and danced in the light. Her necklace was a family heirloom that was also her something old, and her something borrowed. Her blue… was her eyes of course.
Just look at these details. Pink wedding shoes, obviously. And check out the size of Barbie’s rock of a ring that Ken gave her for their engagement. Wow, he must rake in some cash of his own!
Then it was time for the bride to see her groom as she walked down the aisle. I just love how Barbie couldn’t hold back her emotion as she made her way to Ken.
Ken, of course, was in awe of his beautiful bride.
Their friend, Edward Cullen, married the couple. Apparently the eternal vampire is also an ordained minister. I overheard some of the guests whispering about how they wished he would have dressed a little more appropriately but if you can read minds, like Edward can, then I guess he knew their thoughts about his appearance. He didn’t care, however, as he never changed and left his shirt untucked the entire ceremony.
Oh well. All’s well that ends well. Ken… you may now kiss your wife.
After some quick family and wedding party photos…
Barbie and Ken cut their wedding cake. This two-tier chocolate wedding cake tasted even better than it looked.
There was a short reception (Ken has been waiting for the wedding night for, like, decades) and Barbie danced to her favorite hits with her bridesmaids.
The couple left to star-glitter confetti. The couple took their time walking to their getaway car, waving goodbye to all their friends and family. I love the shot I was able to get of Barbie’s hair covered in glitter.
And then they were off! Ken drove Barbie’s convertible for their getaway car. It matched his bowtie, after all.
Congratulations, Barbie and Ken! Maybe you live happily ever after!
Talk to you tomorrow,
Dale
