This Southern California L’Auberge Del Mar destination wedding will go down in history as of one of my all-time favorites. Not only is the San Diego wedding venue named one of the top 3 hotels in Southern California (and rightfully so), but the couple is so kind. In fact, Maggie and Kevin are one of the kindest couples I’ve ever met. Their love for each other is so strong, and rooted in the same beliefs.

A little known fact, Maggie was a Benny Bride before. I photographed her first wedding in Northwest Arkansas and we just developed a beautiful friendship during her engagement. My heart broke for her when I learned of her divorce, but knew it was the right thing for her well-being. Fast forward to Kevin, who treats Maggie like a queen (like she deserves). I know this couple will stay together forever.

This destination L’Auberge Del Mar Wedding isn’t my first California destination wedding. In fact, I photographed a destination wedding where Kris Allen from American Idol officiated! And then of course we have all seen the incredible wedding at Meadowood Napa Valley I photographed. (though, if you haven’t check out the Meadowood Napa Valley wedding blog post).

This is, however, my first wedding at L’Auberge Del Mar. Or even in San Diego for that matter. Now that I’ve been there, and photographed a wedding in San Diego, I definitely want to go back. I know Scout would love to go to Sea World. And she is already a zoo connoisseur so I know she would love the trip.

One thing that was crazy about this L’Auberge Del Mar Wedding was that it was outside and took place after sunset. I’ve only photographed a few weddings like this (outdoors after sunset), but I loved the vibe from the wedding ceremony. It was super romantic!

Of course, we spent a lot of time roaming the grounds shooting wedding portraits at L’Auberge Del Mar. There is just so many beautiful photo spots at this top California hotel!

I talk a lot about loyal clients and how much they mean to me. Having a bride know that she only wants me as her photographer means so much to me. Thank you Maggie and I am so happy you found your forever partner.
