The 4:30am alarm didn’t even get a chance to go off as I sprang out of bed yesterday morning. Overcome with the excitement of Ellie and my daddy/daughter trip, there was zero chance of me going back to sleep. Ellie and I have shared a daddy/daughter trip to the big apple before, and I’ve been so excited to get back to NYC to make new memories with her as she starts her senior year in high school.

Just like last time, we decided on NYC because I gave Ellie the choice of what city she wanted to visit; this time, for her senior portraits. I’ll be sharing more about those in the coming days, but I just wanted to write down this feeling of excitement to spend the weekend with my Ellie girl.
