Makin’ Mems
One of the hardest things for me in my life is leaving my family when I travel for work. While this week I was home each day (yay!), there are often weeks that I don’t get to see my girls. Ellie and Cece are old enough to understand, but it really kills me to think that Scout is wondering where I am or why I’m gone.
Parents, you feel that?
Tyler and I talk about it all the time; or rather, I ask Tyler all the time if she thinks I’m gone too much. She assures me that I’m not, and because we facetime every morning, every night, and plenty in-between, that Scout feels me being present. But today Tyler said something to me that melted my heart.
Scout and I drove her little car to the new construction that is happening a street over from our house to play in the sand, and on the tractor.
Anyway, I sent Ty a few pictures of our adventures, and she sent this:
Quality over quantity.
Other than Photography
Did you know I do things other than photography? I love being creative. A few years ago, some of my wedding vendor friends needed websites. Because I had always done my own website design and implementation, I took on a few clients to see how I would like it. Turns out, it flexes different creative muscles which I sometimes need. This week was one of those weeks.
I only had 1 shoot this week, but I designed 9 websites and 4 t-shirts. That sounds so random, I agree. But it was fun! I collaborated with different teams for those projects and they came out great!
Talk to you soon,
Dale
