I love this fun side-project of Recreating TikToks. I was telling my buddy Tom about it recently, describing it as a way of doing something completely different from what I do on a day-to-day basis. The act of 1) not shoot people, and 2) slowing down my shooting process is such a far cry from what I do day-in and day-out, every day. Honestly, it’s a blast mixing it up from time to time. Tyler got new perfume from Burberry (the Benfields love Burberry everything, if you couldn’t already tell), so I thought it was a great chance to play with lighting.
This latest tiktok recreation is inspired by shooting something in-studio using water for motion. I used a colander to mimic rain, and then used a spritz bottle to mimic mist, both of which looked really cool when I slowed it down. Because I shot this on my camera and not on my phone, I didn’t shoot in 120 frames per second, which is probably the only thing I would change about this if doing it for an actual client. What do you think about this one?
