I have the pleasure of being 1) raised by an incredible woman, 2) married to an incredible woman, and 3) a father to an incredible woman. I know for certain that I wouldn’t be the man I am today without these three women in my life. Thank you Betty, Tyler, and Elizabeth.

As a #girldad for the past 18 years, I’ve wanted the best life possible for my daughters. Part of that is seeking a strong female role model in this house. If you follow Tyler on Instagram (or read this blog often), you know that she is strong. She is capable, and certainly outspoken. Tyler encourages other women, and is encouraged by other women. She has taught me a lot about what it means to support females to be their best selves.

I also hope to be a role model for Ellie, Scout, and Cece when it comes to what they look for in a partner. I hope they find a partner that celebrates them, encourages and builds them up, and is their best teammate and friend. It’s what I hope to be for Tyler, and what she deserves.

I also hope to be a good role model for Avett. Breaking stereotypes and molds, I want him to grow into a man who values women and treats them respectfully. Of course, given who his mom is, I can almost guarantee this.

To all my Benny brides out there, past and present, I celebrate you! To all my hard-working moms out there, I celebrate you! This world wouldn’t exist with out you!
