In addition to being a luxury wedding photographer, I consider myself a fine art wedding photographer. What that means is that when I shoot, I’m creating timeless pieces of art. Scout loves looking at prints of mommy and daddy. As a matter of fact, we have a little book of prints of all her family members. When she was very little, we would go through the pages of that photo print book and practice saying everyone’s name. I’m so excited to pass photo prints on to her and then one day, her kids. And their kids. Our photo prints are archival quality which if protected, are rated to last 200+ years!

I understand the allure to have your photos everywhere at your fingertips. I have more than 81k photos on my phone. But then again, that’s the issue isn’t it? Beautiful photos are lost in a sea of tens of thousands of other photos. Not to mention, your phone is small compared to a 16×24 print. I love holding magazines in my hand, and real-life newspapers. And photos. I love holding actual photos with my fingers and to feel the texture of the paper with my hands. It gives a real value to the image when it’s printed on the finest papers.

Let’s say you have a dinner party. Or family comes to visit. The most important reason in my book for printing your photos is this: Give yourself a daily reminder of your beautiful marriage. The wedding day is one of the happiest days of your life. For that reason alone, it’s important enough to print photos that serve as a reminder of the love you felt that day for your spouse. I honestly love looking at how beautiful my bride looked in her wedding dress. Why wouldn’t I want to look at that each and every day?
