As a luxury wedding photographer, it is very important to me to offer a luxury wedding album product for my Benny brides. In this post, I cover the whats, the shoulds, the whys, and the hows of wedding albums.
First, let’s discuss what a luxury wedding album actually is. The album is hand-crafted by experts who are the best in the world at what they do. I have had a long-term relationship with my album producer, and trust them to deliver the highest quality album time after time.
After your wedding, you and I go through your wedding gallery to select your favorite wedding portraits and storytelling moments from your wedding day. Then I create a custom design from those photos. Because I design everything myself, I am able to put the same love and attention to the design and layout of your wedding as I did for your actual wedding photographs.
Yes! There are a lot of great reasons to have a luxury album crafted from your wedding images. First, you are investing so much time, money, and effort into having your perfect wedding day. Second, you are making an investment to have it captured beautifully by a luxury wedding photographer. Finally, the inside pages of the bound wedding album are of archival quality. Most online bookmakers don’t feature this level of quality. Currently, the industry leaders say archival pages are rated to last 200 or more years. That means your great-great-great grandkids will get to see images of you walking down the aisle. That’s pretty special.
Luxury wedding albums are different from typical wedding albums. Aside from these albums featuring custom-designed pages, they tell the full story of your wedding day. While most albums are limited in pages and show merely a few highlights, these are more robust. Also, because they are handcrafted, love and care go into the actual building process of your album.
Another great benefit of an album from Benfield Photography is that I have carefully selected the best options for your wedding album cover. Crystal clear covers and matte crystal clear covers are show stoppers and jaw-droppers. They showcase a huge image on the cover. Or, I have beautiful leathers, including distressed and metallic leathers if that suits your fancy. Is leather not your thing? I also have beautiful vegan leathers in a variety of colors. Finally, I printed my own wedding album with a velvet cover that matched my wedding colors. It’s to die for.
I’ll show you! Notice that I’m including well over one hundred images in this wedding design (130+ actually). As you scroll through the designed pages below, you’ll see the meticulous details photographed beautifully. You’ll also see gorgeous portraits from throughout the day, including golden hour wedding portraits. Finally, you’ll see the story of the day unfold before your very eyes, from start to finish. First up, though, here is the image I chose for the Crystal Clear Cover.
What a beautiful way to begin.
Then, I like to set the tone by sharing some beautiful details. Because you put so much thought into your wedding details, I make sure to capture them beautifully.
From getting ready to spending time with your wedding party, the pre-wedding photos from your big day are so important and should be included in the album.
I also like to set the scene. Any movie or tv show you watch makes it a point to set the scene before diving into the storyline. I love to do the same thing when designing the wedding album.
After photographing the details and scene-setting images, I devote my attention to telling the story of the wedding day.
From the bride getting dressed with the help of her mother to the first look with her brother, father, and bridesmaids… these are such special moments and should also be included in your luxury wedding album.
It’s important to commemorate the guests who came to celebrate your marriage. I get a kick out of photographing group shots pre-wedding, during cocktail hour, and again during the reception. You’ll typically see these throughout your wedding album.
I love capturing the relationship between the wedding couple and their wedding party. One of the reasons I like to arrive so early on the wedding day is so the wedding party is used to my presence and so we can capture portraits and special moments with them to include in the album.
By the way, this luxury wedding at The Hillside Estate was such a beautiful DFW wedding venue.
Again, it’s important to include images of your wedding party and family in your wedding album. You will want to look back on your wedding day to see all your loved ones who supported you on this important day.
Another scene-setting spread in the album…
In addition to the story-telling special moments like the first dance and parent dances, I also thrive on capturing the energy and excitement of the wedding reception. Look at these fun images that are a must when telling the full story of a wedding day.
I love this ending shot so much. It’s a double-page spread to end the book with a timeless moment.
With anything in life, you get what you pay for. If you want an album that is made from the finest materials, thoughtfully designed, and handcrafted, a luxury wedding album is what you want. Prices change often because they directly reflect the costs of production. Currently, prices range from $1200 to $3000 for a luxury wedding album.
This part is easy… if I photographed your wedding, just send me a message and we will get the process started!
Talk to you soon,
