Yesterday I referred to a Pinnacle Country Club Wedding Portrait being one of my most favorite portraits of my entire career. Now, some might think this is hyperbole. After all, I’ve photographed portraits all over the world… Italy, on top of Aspen Mountain… and I’ve photographed celebrities, pro athletes, but this is an image that hangs with each and every one of those.
I also teased about how the shot almost didn’t happen.
One of my super powers is being able to track sunlight (and we all know how much I love my “Benny Backlight”). I knew exactly where the sun was gonna be and knew exactly the shot I wanted to capture, and everything seemed to be going to plan. Until the speeches during the wedding reception. I love a good speech, don’t get me wrong. And typically toasts last 4-7 minutes. However, Georgia and Ben had some really eloquent speakers during their reception, and each entertained a captive audience for 10 minutes. With each laugh, or tear that fell, the sun continued to set a little more.
Thankfully, Pinnacle Country Club loaned us a couple golf carts to get us there on the double. So, without further adieu, my favorite Pinnacle Country Club Wedding Portrait from Saturday:

Can you just imagine a 40inch by 60inch canvas of this hanging in their parents’ houses? An ode to a perfect portrait of a perfect couple on a perfect day. What a dream come true!
