We are back again with more from that gorgeous supermodel dancer, and our personal friend, Carmen, this time in her Denim Photo Session. I recently blogged about Carmen’s supermodel photoshoot in her self-made sweater look. Carmen and I met through my wife, Tyler, as the two went to school together. They both were in the Pi Phi sorority and when Carmen moved to NWA Tyler was excited to introduce us. At the time, I didn’t know we all would be becoming such good friends. She is a total sweetheart and an amazing role model. Honestly, it gave me warm feelings when I saw that my dancing daughter, Ellie, follows my ballerina friend on Instagram.
Anyway, you probably want to know about our Denim Photo Session. We shot these images in Carmen’s apartment in Bentonville. I loaded my StudioAnywhere setup (do you like that phrase? I’m workshopping it) into my car and ade the 9 minute drive to Carmen’s to set it up. After 15 minutes we managed to set it all up and arrange her apartment furniture to create a few different backdrops. This backdrop was her craft room (or was a studio? I forget what exactly she called it). The live plant was already there but instead of moving it out of the picture, I moved it closer in. I like the addition of the color and framing that the plant adds. What do you think?
If you’re in the mood for a treat, you should check out this really incredible ballerina bride photo session we shot at the Ballroom at I Street.
Talk to you soon,
Dale
