If I can write this without crying, it’ll be a miracle. Last Friday, I got the bucket-list-level privilege to take part in my first ever Photography Gallery showing. The activities director at Blake Street House in Bentonville, Arkansas, reached out to me about showing some of my fine art portraiture… and I was ELATED! I think it’s every photographer’s dream to one day have an art show feature, and thanks to the incredible team at BlakeSt, I got to live that dream!
Here are some of the pieces I chose to show from my “Don’t Forget” collection from photographing senior citizens in senior living housing and nursing homes.
I have always loved telling stories. I think that is one of my superpowers that make me a great luxury wedding photographer. People have told me that I also have a knack for making people feel comfortable in front of the camera. Another superpower? I suppose so because it allows me to get my subjects to open up and be themselves. I feel very fortunate to be able to create art as a career.
Here’s to dreams… having them, achieving them, and more.
Thanks for being here,
Dale
