In this post you’ll read about (and see images from) Cristina’s Bridal Portraits at The Sagamore Hotel and Wedding Venue on Lake George.
When it’s supposed to rain all day and you don’t think you’ll get any outside shots, you take advantage of unexpected sunshine! That’s what Cristina and I did on her wedding day at The Sagamore on Lake George. She was the sweetest of brides and had a stunning wedding dress. Not to mention, she had one of the prettiest wedding veils I’ve ever photographed. This shot below encompasses all of that in one image.
There is a room at The Sagamore (room 150, I believe?) that has an extended patio space that overlooks Lake George. Cristina asked The Sagamore for this room and she got it (yay!). We used the outdoor space for her to get ready (check out yesterday’s post to read about and see her Wedding at The Sagamore). We also used this outdoor location for the bride’s portraits.
I love the imperfect perfection of this bridal portrait. It almost feels a little raw, giving contrast to what is otherwise a beautiful and serene space. Also, I chose to leave her wedding bouquet in these bridal portraits so her hands felt relaxed and had something to do while her veil was blowing in the wind. Her bouquet was one of my favorite wedding details. (for her other Sagamore wedding details check out the blog I did).
Coming up on the blog, I get to share Pat and Cristina’s wedding portraits at The Sagamore. We photographed a “safety session” because of the expected rain. However, because it didn’t rain we got to shoot more later in the day too. Come back soon to see those wedding day portraits! By the way, have I mentioned lately how much I love being a destination wedding photographer?
Talk to you soon,
Dale
