While the Benfields are vacationing at the Ritz-Carlton in Cancun, I thought I’d play pretend to be a Cancun Family Photographer with Ty and Scout. While I’ve posted a ton of images as a wedding photographer in Cancun, it’s probably not feasible to fly me to Cancun for a family session. However, because I’m in Mexico 2-3 times a year, it never hurts to ask if you’re in need of a Cancun Family Photographer. Our dates might just line up!
For this photograph of Tyler and Scout, I scouted the Ritz-Carlton in Cancun for some out-of-the-ordinary images. Yes, beach photographs are great, but I wanted to challenge myself to photograph images that showed off the Ritz-Carlton Cancun property. Lo and behold, I found inspiration using the balcony from our room, but needed to fine a spot to capture it perfectly. I brought my drone, so I could have used that, but I also brought my wedding camera gear.
For this shot, I used my Canon R5 and my Canon RF 15-35mm f2.8 (shot at 35mm). The image took some planning, but was worth it. I absolutely love this image of Scout and Tyler. What do you know… maybe I would make a pretty good Cancun Family Photographer. I would love to hear your thoughts on this image! Maybe one of these days I’ll show you the image as it came straight out of the camera. I think you’d be surprised at the original image.
Talk to you soon,
Dale
