When we toured the University of Arkansas Honors College last year, I actually thought Ellie was just humoring me. And at the time, maybe she was. She was pretty dead set on going somewhere that was going to require me to hop on an airplane to visit. However, as I shared in this post, Ellie has decided to be a Razorback!

It means a lot that Ellie would want to come to the University of Arkansas. But when I got the news that she had been accepted into the U of A Honors College, I cried. No, like really. Tears streamed down my face when she showed me the letter she got from the Dean of the Honors College.

Being in the Honors College at U of A has some really great benefits. I’m so excited for Ellie to be going hands-on research and studying abroad. Okay, that actually scares the crap out of me, but also excites me. I’m in that weird in-between state of wanting to protect her but also wanting her to spread her wings. Anyway, I know this is going to be so great for her, and I’m oh so proud! Way to go Ellie!

Ellie dedicates so much time, energy, and focus into her academics. She should also be so proud!
