Ellie’s Senior Prom is tonight. It seems like only yesterday we were shooting her winter formal photos. As a dad, I’m so proud of the beautiful young lady Ellie has become. Even more than that, she is talented and works harder than anyone I’ve ever met. She deserves to have an incredible night as her senior year winds down.

I’m absolutely in love with Ellie’s dress. In photographs, you can see a rainbow of colors. In person, the dress can appear almost completely black in the absence of lighting. I knew Ellie would choose something stylish and unique for her senior prom. I also love the open back that ties. Maybe I’m biased, but it’s one of the most beautiful senior prom dresses I’ve ever seen.

When we told Scout it was Ellie’s Senior Prom, the first thing she did was ask if she could go. Not shocking. And while she couldn’t go to the dance, she did get to accompany me to the photo shoot. Ellie chose a venue in Carthage, MO that looked good with everyone’s dresses. When she comes to Arkansas in this fall, she will be helping me choose locations and styling portrait sessions.
