This Mommy and Me Photo Shoot of Tyler and Scout might look familiar to you. I shot similar images on film recently (link is below). I wanted to shoot the same subjects during the same time of day. The reason being, I wanted to show the differences in the imagery produced by each medium. Today’s post showcases images I shot with my Canon R5C. I used a 50mm 1.2 (for the film shoot, I used the 85mm 1.2). Both give me some great #bennybacklight; honestly, I don’t know which I prefer. Both mommy and me photo shoots are great in their own way.
Well, for the most part this was a mommy and me photo shoot, but I had to get a few that were just of Scout. I didn’t want to waste the opportunity to photographer her at this fun stage. The flower field was perfect for her two-piece floral outfit from Mia Belle.
These two are best buddies and get the pleasure of spending each day with one another. Because they are so close, I thought capturing a mommy and me photo shoot of them would be something they both would treasure as time marches on.
If you’re interested in seeing other posts from this session, see below! We had a great time photographing these, but I think what Scout will remember the most is the ice cream we had after we were finished. I didn’t bribe her during the shoot; however, she was so great that I decided I wanted to give her a tasty treat for helping me capture such a lovely portrait session.
